Fire
The element of Fire is SPIRIT, it is Light, the Sun, the flame, the Stars, the Creative
Source of all Light and Life. It is energy, illumination and Enlightenment. It is heat, warmth, protection, active, dynamic,
expansive, masculine, blood, sap, the will, healing also destructive, purifying and transforming. Volcanoes, deserts, lightning,
eruptions and explosions are all fiery.
We have Fire in our bellies, we are human furnaces. We are stars. Colours associated with
Fire are Red or Yellow, crimson, gold, orange or white. The time of day is noon when the Sun is at its zenith.
Fire is related to the sense of Sight and the Season of Summer. It's jewel is a Fire Opal. Its metal gold.
Plants related to fire are: chillies, mustard, onions, garlic, hibiscus, nettle,
red peppers, red poppies.
Animals: Fire-breathing dragons, salamanders, lions, the Phoenix, and horses,when their hooves
strike sparks.
Goddesses of Fire: Pele,Vesta, Hestia, Brigit
Gods of Fire: Vulcan, Hephaestus, Horus, Agni
In the Native American Tradition that I utilise, Fire is in the Direction of the East, where
the Sun rises every day. Different traditions have the elements in different directions, usually according to where they are
situated. In the Wicca tradition Fire is in the South. It's incense is Olibanum.
Fire signs Astrologically:
Aries, the first, Fire sign, Cardinal mode.
Leo the 2nd, a Fixed sign.
Sagittarius the 3rd, Mutable Fire sign.
In the Tarot, Fire is represented by Wands. All of the Wands relate to Spirit, inspiration,
action and creativity.

Water
The Element of Water symbolizes the emotions, the heart, feelings,love, sorrow. It is Feminine,
it is fertile, it flows, dissolves all hardness, is mutable and takes the shape of whatever contains it. Water is the Oceans,
the womb, the unconscious, memories and intuition. We are made up of 70% water ,mirroring the oceans content on the Earth.
We are all born from water in the womb. Our tears are salty memories of the origins of life evolving out of the Oceans. Water
is the tides,wells, springs, ponds, rivers, lakes, seas, rain,sleet, snow and hail. Water mirrors our reflections. Water
generates and nurtures all life, plants, makes all green things grow. We need water
to live. Water is associated with the colours blue or green., indigo and black. Aquamarines are Waters' jewels.
It's time is twilight and the season of Autumn. It rules the sense of taste. Its' tree is the water drinking willow.
Animals: dolphins, whales and porpoises, fish, seals,and sea mammals, water dwelling snakes,
all water creatures and sea birds, dragons as sea serpents. Leviathan.
Plants: ferns, lotuses, mosses, rushes, seaweeds, water lillies, all water plants.

In the Native American tradition I utilize water is the Direction of the South. Place of the
Heart, emotions. The Native Americans and the Tibetans consider the heart to be the mind, not the brain. The South, water
is the Place of Innocence and Trust. The Wiccan Tradition sees Water in the Direction of the West. Ancient peoples used water
as a burial place. As we came forth, so we return.

AIR
Air symbolizes the Mind, thinking, communications all intuitive and psychic work. Knowledge, abstract learning,
theory, transportation, windswept hills, plains, windy beaches, tornadoes, hurricanes, lofty mountain peaks, high towers,
all connect with the Element of Air. Thoughts travel in the air, quickly, like the wind. Birds live in the element of Air.
Air is also the Breath of Life. We can only survive for a few minutes without Air. Air is a medium of transference, travel,
flight, flights of the imagination, the magic Carpet Ride. Thinking is the best way to travel. Our thoughts create our Reality.
Air is also the place to connect with the Enlightened Master Teachers, with Wisdom. Air symbolizes intellect. Things manifest
"out of thin air." The Rainbow exists in Air. Things can be undefined-"up in the air." we can have our heads "in the clouds."
Colours connected to Air are white, bright yellow, crimson, blue-white. Scents are also carried in air.

Shamanically, in the Native American Tradition which I use, Air is in the North Direction, like our heads,
they are North on our bodies. north is always related to Wisdom. It relates to elders, memories, knowledge.
In the Wiccan tradition Air symbolizes the East and Dawn,the Eagle, the Hawk, the Winds.
The Condor in South American shamanism.

Gods of Air: Mercury, Thoth, Shu,Khephera and Enlil.

In the Tarot, Air is symbolized by the Suit of Swords. The entire Swors Suit represents thinking, communications.
Earth
The Element of Earth is the physical realm, Gaia, 3-D, the material World. It is hard core,
the Body. It is what is tangible; growth Nature, groves, fields, grains, forests, standing stones, crystals, jewels
and metals. The Earth element is the Element of Building, Learning, History. The Earth is Feminine, our bones, our "reality."
The Earth is our mother Planet, and supports all physical life forms. We are all born physically of the Feminine. Earth
is the densest,the most compact of all the elements. Earth is home to all the elements. The Earth is mountains, caves, graves,
silence. She endures, she holds knowledge, she nurtures. We are born of the Earth, we return our bones, our robes to the Earth.
"From dust, to dust.." We are star and earth dust. We are salt, the salt of the Earth. Colours for the Earth are brown, black,
green and white. In the Kabbala, Earth is called Malkuth, the Foundation.

In the Native American tradition I utilize Earth is in the Westerly direction, opposite Fire
and Spirit. The Earth is the place of Birth, Death and Transformation.
The Earth is wisdom, intuition and introspection. The Earth is where we gather our lessons
from Spirit. We "incorporate" our core lessons in our corps.The Earth represents all the Feminine, all the Goddessess.
Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna, Lakshmi, Tara, Quan Yin, Goddesses of
a thousand names, is who I call in when invoking the Earth. Persephone, Ceres, Inanna, Gaea are particularly Earth Goddessess.
In the Wicca tradition Earth is in the North. The Oak tree is related to it.
