Oscar Predictions 2008

I used my intuition this year and gazed into my crystal ball  up I send my gaze out to the Movies to visualize the announcer saying " and the Oscar for Best Picture etc. goes to...."

Now I once again haven't seen any of these movies. I remain totally impartial. I like the movies but I wait till after.

BEST PICTURE-
No Country for Old Men - the Coen Brothers

Hollywood is always a kind of hypnotic subconscious suggestion medium so the medium is the message, get rid of the old boys network.

Best Actor -
Daniel Day- Lewis in There Will Be Blood.
Again on this theme-say you want a revolution?

Best supporting actor-
Casey Affleck  in The assassination of Jesse James

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE
Julie Christie-she's earned it

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Cate Blanchett- I'm not there-
for playing Bob Dylan and introducing a very traditional theatrical trans gender role

BEST DIRECTOR- The Coen Brothers

BEST ANIMATION-Ratatouille

BEST ART DIRECTION- Sweeny Todd
I love Tim Burton's work, it's time he won, he's been nominated over 8 times.

Cinematography
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Achievenent in Visual Effects
The Golden Compass-
Acutally I did see this one and it was stunning. Now we have to read all the books.
